Your New Company/Role:

As one of the established industry leaders, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts payable Officer to join their growing team, based in South-West of Sydney. This is a 3 months temporary and high chances of becoming permanent. The successful candidate must have exposure in bulk processing invoices.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Accountant:

Your duties include:

  • Ability to perform bulk invoice processing
  • Reconciliations of vendor statements and investigate discrepancies/outstanding accruals
  • Processing of stock and non-stock invoices
  • Ensure invoices are authorized and matched with purchase orders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice-related issues
  • Performing reconciliations
  • Journal uploads
  • Maintain stock accruals accounts
  • Performing allocations to the right cost centre
  • Ability to work on multiple GL codes
  • Assist with month end procedures and reporting
  • Assist with Fixed assets administration
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be required

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Receivable/Credit Controller duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:

  • Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Previous experience in bulk invoice processing and dealing with multiple GL codes for multiple entities
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Experience with large ERP systems - Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly preferred

  • $36 - $43 + Super (based on experience) [competitive salary once gone permanent]
